Romance from Broadway to Lincoln Center introduces us to Jeannette McAvoy and Nelson Eddington: two music experts who share a marriage and a love of music but not much else at the moment. It's the summer of 1966, and the couple are set to present an evening of romantic songs from broadway to opera as a tribute to the soon-to-be-open Metropolitan Opera House at Lincoln Center. But, try as they may to rehearse the presentation with the performers, it's clear Jeanette and Nelson aren't going to be able to stay on topic. Or are they?

From Vaudeville to Operettas, Broadway music to "serious" Opera, the songs will lead you down Lovers' Lane, and the plight of the married music experts and their hapless Producer will have you laughing all the way. Romance from Broadway to Lincoln Center is produced by Loudoun Lyric Opera Company, and the production is sponsored in part by a gift from The Friends of Franklin Park Arts Center given in memory of Christopher Maré.
