The parlor before
Existing pieces from the Clermont Estate help set the stage: at left, a Civil War-era crib handmade in Danville, Virginia for the lady of the house by her husband, William McCormick, a Quarter Master with the Confederate Army. The 19th c. child's rocker was simply moved to a spot by the wood stove (see below right)
