Homespun Dress:
Life in Civil War Virginia

Performers represent the true stories and dress of a variety of women who lived in Virginia during
"The War Between the States." Narration provides an overview of the events of the Civil War. A
bible is passed from daughter to friend, friend to soldier, hospital to family — connecting the
stories of each.  Past presentations: Elizabeth Carter Lecture Series at Oatlands Plantation and
Winchester, Virginia's  Apple Blossom Mall.

The Oatlands' Plantation presentation or the program created the basis for the Run, Rabbit, Run
documentary"Southern Courage: Civil War Women of Loudoun County, Virginia."

Forty-five minute presentation. For further information and availability, contact Meredith Bean McMath.
