Homespun Dress: Life in Civil War Virginia

Performers represent the true stories and dress of a variety of women who lived in Virginia during "The War Between the States." Narration provides an overview of the events of the Civil War. A bible.... passed from daughter to friend, friend to soldier, hospital to family... connects their stories. (Elizabeth Carter Lecture Series at Oatlands Plantation; "Ladies Night Out" presentation at Apple Blossom Mall, Winchester, Virginia).

This presentation created the basis for the Run, Rabbit, Run documentary, "Southern Courage: Civil War Women of Loudoun County, Virginia."

Forty-five minute presentation. Fee $2500.00. Contact Meredith Bean McMath.
